1. Configure sgBEAT to work with your mobile

• - Click on Edit Profile above.
• - SMS your secret code listed under Mobile Number to 9634-6465.
• - Your mobile number will display in a minute. If it does not, please report this to @sgBEAT.

2. Link your sgBEAT account to Twitter, Facebook or Plurk

• - On the right hand side of your dashboard, select an External Account to add by clicking on the service icon.
• - Authorize sgBEAT for access to your External Account.
• - For each External Account, click Edit and check the appropriate checkboxes (e.g. for receiving updates on your mobile).
• • sgBEAT automatically translates usernames on your behalf for sgBEAT users who have linked external accounts. You only need to @username to send to sgBEAT users with linked accounts and we will send the beat correctly on Twitter, Facebook or Plurk.
  
  
  • To post to Twitter only, start your beat with @t. Or to send to Twitter user username, use @twitter:username or @@username.
  • To post to Facebook only, start your beat with @f.
  • To post to Plurk only, start your beat with @p.
  • To send to sgBEAT user username, use @sgbeat:username.
  
  
  • Example 1: "@p @t Hi there plurkers and tweeps!"
  • Example 2: "@@myfriend @myclass see what @sgbeat:thisguy said"
  
  
  • Note: If you try to send a beat to an sgBEAT user without a linked external account (such as Twitter), we will automatically prefix @sgBEAT: to the username in your beat on the external account. This prefix prevents your message from being sent accidentally to someone else who registered that username.

3. Receive incoming tweets/beats via SMS on your mobile

• - Click on Edit Profile above. Select your Telco accordingly.
• - Click on Set Notifications above. For 'Default SMS reply mode', select the Always SMS me option.
• - You may configure your SMS Whitelist and Blacklist as well to decide who you want to receive tweets/beats from via SMS.
• - You will need to have an sgBEAT Perks level of Silver or higher to obtain a free quota for incoming SMS.

4. Enjoy the wonderful unique features of sgBEAT!

	Beat via MMS by sending an MMS email to mms@sgBEAT.com.
	Show where you are with maps! Just place the location between angled brackets, e.g. <City Hall>.
	Send private beats to friends by clicking this icon or starting your beats with dm.
	Poll your friends by clicking on this icon in your beatbox!
	Search for your friends or through all public beats.
